Margaret River Camp and Cruise
Big Valley Event update!!
I hope you have your camping gear packed. This promises to be an awesome weekend. On Saturday, activity starts at 9am with a line-up of VWs on Big Valley drive for photos and drone shots. Then we make our way to the Witchcliffe Vintage Fair, arriving at 10am for a 1-hour stop where you might like to grab a bargain vintage collectable. We depart Witchcliffe at 11am and head to Redgate where we turn right onto Caves Road and head north for a leisurely cruise to Gracetown. We will park up at Cowaramup Reef car park for a 30-min stopover where you can explore the beach or maybe pop over to Gracies Café for a coffee. We depart Gracetown at 12pm and head east to Cowaramup for a 30-min stopover where you can have a go at counting the famous Cowaramup cows or maybe visit the Candy Cow for a sweet treat. We will depart Cowaramup at 12:30 and head south towards Colonial Brewery for our 1pm lunch. The cruise map can be loaded onto Google Maps by clicking the link above the map below.
This weekend is open to all VW Enthusiasts. Saturday includes an opportunity to display our VW’s at the Witchcliffe Vintage Fair, a Beach Cruise and lunch, followed by food trucks and live entertainment back at camp. Save the date for this fun weekend. We have reserved 20 powered sites at the picturesque Big Valley Campsite, near Margaret River. Please book and pay early to guarantee we are camped together. Call the campsite directly 9757 5020 and let them know you are with the VW Club of WA (sites held in name of Jamie Barrett). Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted if they are supervised at all times as it is a working farm with other animals.
Please make your own way down - no group cruise organised.
