York Motor Show Cruise, Camp and Display

 Join us for a Cruise and Camp or Day Trip to the historic town of York where the club will be involved in a display of classic and vintage vehicles at the annual York Motor Show. Two options are available for this event.

Option one: Cruise, Camp and Show, departing Alfred's kitchen, Guildford, at 1pm Saturday 31st August 2024. Cruise about an hour or so up to the travellers' Rest Caravan Park, 2 Eighth Road, York, and camp the night with fellow club members before attending the York Motor Show on Sunday morning at 9am. If you wish to take advantage of this option, you will need to book a site at the Travellers Rest Caravan Park. Powered sites are $35, non-powered sites are $30 and are for two people. Extra guests are $5 per child or $10 per adult. Please book early to avoid disappointment as powered sites go early for these weekends. The caravan park has a camp kitchen and BBQ area. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash, notify reception of any pets when making your booking. And remember to let them know you are with the VW Club of WA when booking. Option two: Day trippers, meet at Alfred's Kitchen, Guildford, on Sunday 1st September 2024 at 7am for a 7:30am departure. Travel about one hour to York and meet up with the campers at the Travellers Rest Caravan Park at about 8:30am before travelling in convoy to the York Motor Show at Avon Terrace, Mongers Reserve and Avon Park.

The York Motor Show runs from 9am till 2pm and all vehicles entering the display must fill out an entry form. Please see the attachment below. Entry forms can be emailed to the organisers prior to the event, details on where to send them are on the form, or entry forms can be handed in on the day when entering the show. Entering the display at the show is not compulsory, you can park outside the show, have a look around and leave when you wish. Entry to the show is free for entrants and spectators.
