Swiss Camp and Cruise 2025

Come along for a winter cruise to historic Toodyay, enjoy lunch at the Victoria Hotel and then spend the night around the fire pit at the Swiss Camp. Open to day trippers and overnight campers, you choose.

Meet at 10 am at the Guildford Train Station car park, just over the tracks from Alfred’s and adjacent to Stirling Square, for a 10:30 departure.

Trip Notes:

When departing, turn left out of the station car park and follow the road around Stirling Square, and then straight through the round about to go past the Rose and Crown hotel. This is Swan Street. Take the first exit on the roundabout to Terrace road. This leads onto Great Eastern highway and travels towards Midland.

Turn left onto Morrison Road and follow this to turn left onto Great Northern Highway, turn right onto Toodyay Road.

This route is approximately 71km, and is about 1 to 1.5 hours drive (in a Volkswagen).

Approximately 1200 noon arrive at Toodyay. We will park in the large car park on the left side of town behind the shops and gather for lunch at the Victoria hotel. Purchase your own meals and drinks from the main bar.

There will be the opportunity for those that want to wander through Toodyay for a look at the local shops, bakery, etc. ((There is an IGA at the back of town for anyone who needs some last-minute provisions.)

2.30PM depart Toodyay for Swiss Camp in Morangarup, approximately 30 km and ½ drive from Toodyay.

End Location: Toodyay for day trippers and Swiss camp for campers. Day trippers are welcome to attend the Swiss camp but will need to park in the day tripper’s area.
